What can I say... I met Ron "The Hedgehog" Jeremy today.

Claude, Ryan, Holly and I attended his stand-up schtick at Algonquin College tonight. He was pretty funny. He did about 40 minutes of stand-up comedy, then did a lenghty Q and A session with the crowd.

A little Bio... In celebration of Ron's new film, "Porn Star - the story of Ron Jeremy", Ron will be making a special one time appearance in the nation's capital. The show will consist of a viewing of the film trailer as well as a hilarious comedy show, which Ron has been doing at some of Americas hottest comedy clubs for years. The performance will then be followed by a Q&A with the audience and a whole lot of schmoozing. Don't miss this one special chance to meet "the hedgehog" in person!

In 1978, Ron Jeremy's girlfriend sent a nude photo of him to "Playgirl Magazine", where he was instantly recognized for his natural (9 3/4") attributes. Before long, this special education teacher, with a masters degree from Queens College, dropped everything to become a porn star. Ron's career in the adult industry has so far spanned over 20 years and 1600 titles, and counting these include such works as "Ally McFeal", "21 Hump Street", "Generally Horny Hospital", "Gluteus to the Maximus", "Texas Dildo Masquerade", "I Can't Believe I Took it up the Ass" and many, many more.

He not only appears in front of the camera, but directs and produces porn, consults on projects llike "Boogie Nights" and "9 1/2 Weeks", acts in mainstream films such as "Detroit Rock City" and "Orgazmo" and works a relentless stream of public appearances. He is known as "the Hedgehog" for all the obvious reasons, but as Ron says himself, "People can relate. When you see a gorgeous guy getting all the girls the audience goes so what? You see a schlub like me get lucky and it's like there's hope for everybody else."
