Morning A.,
How was your night? Did you sleep well?
I hope you are still having nice dreams at this hour of the morning. My wake-up came much too quickly and I wasn't able to make up a fake caugh! Hence me being here at work with my numbers.
Have a nice day
C. :-)

Day 6 - Mail reply
For a guy who says he isn't a morning person, you were sure up early this moning! Drink lots of OJ to sooth that little itch in your throat.
I accept with pleasure the dinner invitation for tonight, I must go back home after work though because i'm preparing a Christmal log for New Year's Eve. I'll probably be at your place around 5:30, 6:00. Let me know what time is best for you.

Day 6 - 1st Email for cute girl
Buenas Dias Seniorita,
Woke up at 8:30 this monring - little itchy feeling in the bacl of my throat. Hope It's not a cold (knock on wood). It's been a year since I last caught one.
My evening ended up being rather calm. My friend H. had to cancel as she ran late after doing her groceries. I ended up watching one the the flicks I bought with you on Boxing Day (Ghost World - I liked it).
Talk to you later.
Oh, if you feel like if after work, you're welcome to drop by. I'm sure I must have something in the fridge to make a dinner for two.

Day 4 - Boxing Day Crazies
Generally, I would be talking about how people are nuts for participating in Boxing day crazes and that there were thousands and thousands of people at the mall where I went. But yesterday, one one of those people seemed to matter. Out of all the people there, I was all eues for this one cute girl named C.
We didn't find any amazing sales or buy much. I picked up one sweater and 2 DVDs (yes, just two!!). She bought a little suit for a the little kid of one of her friends (MJ). We chatted quite a bit though.
As we ate in the food court telling each other how our respective Xmas went. A disabled black man stopped me and recognized me from the volunteer gig I had done the night before. He shaked my hand and said merry XMas in a very loud voice. I was a little embarassed but later realized how touching karma had just been towards me.
We left the mall and she drove me to my place. A wonderful first date with a wonderful girl. More to follow.

Day 3 - Why play games... just call her up.
X-mas 2004 is now over. Went over to and grand parents for Dinner. Chatted with my uncle's girlfriend's daughter Irina for a while. Was nice.
Before that I volunteered at the Newport restaurant serving meals to homeless and needy people. Met an old colleague who is now retired. He played Santa Claus for the kids there. Was fun. Max Keeping from a local news station as well as 2 local politicians were with us in the kitchen. To me this is always the best part of Christmas. Time flies when I do this. I started in 1998 after I broke-up with my 1st GF of 6 years. It was the first Xmas in years where I didn't feel like celebrating much. Xmas has never been my favorite holiday. But when I discovered this volunteering thing, I was hooked.

Okay, why wait! I love the Internet, information at your fingertips. Canada 411 the name of the cute girl (I got her last name from the original email invite which was sent before we all went out to that bar on the 23rd). Nothing comes up. Try another combination. Bingo! It's an "i" not a "y" in her first name. Oh, but there are two listings: one in Gatineau and one in Hull. Ah, well. I'll just wish Merry Xmas to whomever I bother if I don't get the number right. I got it right. She looked surprised. We are meeting at the Rideau Centre at 1pm.
Quite the first date: fight off little old ladies for Boxing day sale items which are generally not that great in the first place.
Should be fun. at least we'll be able to chat without little spy friends around us! :)

Met a cute girl tonight
I met a cute girl tonight. 'Was at a bar with some friends after work. Had a mutual friend who decided to play the matching game. Awkward part was that everyone in the group knew that this was a set-up meeting. Everyone but me that is. This girl was quite attractive - curly brown hair, glasses, slim figure and large bright smile.
Funny thing happened when people stated to go to the bathroom. Suddenly, out of the blue, I ended up in front of the cute girl after a little game of musical chair.
Everything was farely relaxed until about an hour into the get together until 5 of the people at de table decided to go out for a smoke. This left me and this cute girl alone. We kinda chuckled at the overly-non-subtle gesture made by our friends.
We chatted a bit about nothing and the weather and then our friends came back at the table. We proceeded to chat about this and that under the watchful eyes of seven friends. 8 or 9'O Clock came by and we all headed home. Polite kisses on the cheeks were exchanges and slight last minute glances were exchanged.
